Hey! I’m Charlie - a writer, oversharer, and enthusiastic feeler of all the feels.
I started Fold in the Cheese as I needed a space to say the things that don’t always make it into polite conversation. The name’s a nod to one my favourite moments in Schitt’s Creek - chaotic, iconic, and wildly unclear instructions... which felt like the perfect metaphor for life.
Here, you’ll find essays on love, loss, change, joy, friendship, nostalgia, longing, and everything that lives in the in-between. I don’t have all the answers, but I do have a lot of questions, and a deep belief that honesty, humour, and a good laugh (or cry) can take you far.
This is a home for contradictions. For holding it all, the messy and the magical, at once.
New posts land most Thursdays. Thanks for being here.
